Oldenburg


Oldenburg is a central city located in the northwest of Germany with an area of 10,297 square kilometers and a population of 159,150 (till Sept, 30, 2013 ). It is 30 kilometers to the North Sea, and the city borders on the Netherlands in the west (about 132 kilometers apart between Oldenburg and Groningen, Hamburg(the two places are 168km apart) in the east, and Hanover, the capital city of the state of Saxony in the south (the two places are 169km apart), and is next to Bremen(50km apart).  It is only about 50km from Oldenburg to Jade Weser Port, the largest deepwater port in Germany. It enjoys excellent infrastructures such as network of high efficiency and convenience in expressway (A28, A29), railway, inland and coastal roads, all offering great convenience to the development of its economy.

The economy in Oldenburg includes finance, business, service industry, the supply of auto spare parts, printing, electronics technology, logistics, food processing, informatics, biological medicine, new energy, etc..
