First Direct Flight of 10 Hours from Xi'an to London to be Open

According to Shaanxi Provincial Tourism Administration, the first direct flight from Shaanxi to the UK will be opened on the coming May 7. That means the travel time from Xi’an to London will be cut down to 10 hours, and an air route connecting Northwest China to Eurasian continent will be open, giving response and providing support to the “Belt and Road Initiative”.

The flight will fly A330 wide-body airplane, with 18 seats of business class and 242 seats of economic class and in-house entertainment system provided, scheduled on Monday and Friday. Next to the opening of “Chongqing to London” flight, this is the second direct flight route opened by Tianjin Airlines. Furthermore, it will cover the client bases in provinces or regions of Shaanxi, Inner Mongolia, Gansu, Xinjiang, Qinghai, Ningxia and Henan.

The opening of the international flight not only provides a bond in air between Xi’an and London, but also sets up the bridge for new Silk Road in the cloud, promoting the further the bilateral economic and cultural exchanges and the intercourse and movements of tourists, business and education.
