The Municipal FAO (OCAO) Participates in the Opening Ceremony of the 2017 Belt & Road Year of Czech Activity



 On the evening of February 17, 2017, Cai Lanfang, Full-time Vice President of the Municipal Friendship Association, participated in the opening ceremony of the  2017 Belt & Road Year of Czech Activity and Czech culture performance organized by the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Beijing. Present at the event were Mr. Liu Haixing, Assistant Foreign Minister, Wang Yajun, Assistant Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, Zhu Hexin, Vice Governor of Sichuan Province, Mr. Lucas Kautsky, First Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, and Mr. Bedřich Kopecký, Czech Ambassador to China and other guests both home and abroad.

 As one of the cooperation cities for the  2017 Belt & Road Year of Czech series of activities, together with Beijing, Chengdu and Ningbo, Xi’an will hold a series of events with the Czech Republic. Of the activities, relevant enterprises  from partner state  of the Czech Republic will participate in Xi’an Navigation Conference to be held in August.   

 Lucas Kautsky, First Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, delivered a keynot speech, in which he praised highly of Xi’an as one of the  2017 cooperation cities, and hoped that Xi’an could take the opportunities together with relevant departments and enterprises of the Czech Republic to further deepen cooperation in economy, culture and education.

 Vice President Cai Lanfang introduced in detail the development of Xi’an in the fields of industries, commerce and trade, education, culture and other aspects during her talks with relevant leaders from Czech Embassy in Beijing, and said that Xi’an will actively participate in the  2017 Belt & Road Year of Czech activities.

 The opening ceremony culminated in the cultural performances and came to a successful conclusion.
